Sberbank completed €500m takeover deal of Volksbank last year.

Volksbank d.d. was founded in March 1997 as a fully authorized Croatian bank, owned by Österreichische Volksbanken Aktiengesellschaft (ÖVAG) of Vienna, a bank with a 100-year long tradition and member of the Austrian Volksbanken network.
